Swimming

Thanks to Mr Pope's hard work, the school pool is now open for use. The Juniors enjoyed 'breaking the ice' and being the first in, following our Run, Jump, Throw event.

Please get children to bring their togs every day. Ensure all items are clearly named, including goggles.

Readers

We are very close to the end of the school year so it's time to have an extra check around home for any school readers that have managed to hide themselves away. These books cost about $10 each so we really appreciate getting them back!

Book Bags

Please help remind your child that they are expected to bring their book bag every day. This helps protect our school readers and library books. It also means notices don't get lost in the bottom of bags.

Newspaper please

We are doing a lot of painting at the moment and would love it if you could drop in any large Sunday newspapers you may have - the new smaller style pages of the weekday papers just don't work as well!

Thank you!

A big thank you to all of you for making Jesse's farewell lunch a special one. It was an amazing feast and despite a few determined children trying hard to ensure there were no left overs, their eyes proved to be bigger than their tummies!

Shared Lunch

We were sad to hear that Jesse is moving to Rotorua, with his last day being Friday 30 May. We decided that we would like to farewell him with a shared lunch on his last day. Please send in a plate of finger food. Parents/whanau are welcome to join us.

Home Learning Challenge

Many of the children are making great progress in their Home Learning Challenge. Here is a picture of Caitlin with an amazing kina she made out of recycled materials.

Swimming

We have three more weeks of swimming until the pool closes at the end of the term. As of yesterday, 31 March, the water temperature was still 28 degrees so I hope all the children will continue to bring their togs and enjoy this amazing facility.

 

Room 4 & 5 Assembly

Hi parents! Room 4 & 5 will be presenting at assembly this Friday, 28 March. Each class will have 10-12 minutes. We hope to see you there.

Tabloid Sports: Tuesday 25 March

Please ensure consent notices and $3 bus money for Tabloid Sports are returned by Monday.

Friday 7 February

We've had a great start to the year and I am enjoying getting to know the children. It would be great if you could ensure that your child has all their required stationery at school by next Monday, 10 February.
